The hoof plays a crucial role in the overall health of the body, as it serves as the foundation that supports the entire structure. Any imbalances or dysfunctions in the hoof can lead to compensatory issues throughout the body, affecting posture, gait, and the health of the joints and soft tissues.

As a hoof care provider and equine bodyworker, I strive to restore the health and balance of the body through synergistically combining barefoot trimming services with gentle, holistic bodywork techniques.
Hoof Care Services
The hooves and the body are deeply interconnected. When bodywork and hoofcare are synergistically combined to suport the individual horse, the results are profoundly healing. Here at Evergreen Equine Wellness, I recognize the unique nature of every horse, which is why I offer two different plans to support each individual.
Integrative Bodywork + Hoofcare
These equine-guided sessions allow for an integrative trimming experience. Your horse will receive bodywork support as needed throughout their trim, allowing for optimal comfort and balance.​

These sessions are for you if your horse struggles with standing for the farrier, needs frequent breaks, or has previous farrier trauma and requires a patient and positive approach.

This unique approach offers your horse the opportunity to fully attune to their trimming experience and integrate the changes made to their feet with the rest of their body, whilst co-creating each session to receive the support most aligned for them that day.

Southern Ontario* - $125 per session.
Northern Ontario - $160 per session.
Must be scheduled within a maximum 5 week trim cycle
*Travel Fee not included ($0.72/km – distance calculated from home office. Travel fee may be waived/reduced for group bookings of 3+ horses. Please contact us to discuss travel rates)

Barefoot Trims
Single trim sessions are also available. Single trims must be scheduled within a maximum 5-week trim cycle. All hoof care clients are also required to schedule Bodywork Sessions, or Integrative Hoofcare + Bodywork sessions at minimum every 12 weeks.
This holistic approach ensures optimal comfort and soundness for both the body and hoof. Hoof growth and morphology are deeply influenced by the health and biomechanics of the soft tissues above. Regular bodywork support allows for safety during the trim, and improved wellness for the horse.
